The weather was kind to us at Aylesford and it was a good time to make new friends. Michael and Andrew were next to me and kept me entertained for the week-end. They had some beautiful copper red bowls. There were very few people out and about but I managed to do quite well. At first I was horrified at how little work I have left but I have recovered very quickly and got straight back into the studio and onto the wheel!! Pots were drying amazingly fast yesterday as the weather was so warm. It's good to be back into the making cycle. Aylesford Priory is a very attractive setting for the potter's market. There are numerous ceramic murals and plaques in the buildings and gardens. They are by a Polish artist, Adam Kossowski, who came to this country in 1942 when he was released from a Russian labour camp.
Glad you too had a good show over the weekend. The pots look really great. I like the dishes with the animals in the center, have not seen those here before. What a nice setting for a show. Have a good rest of the week. Maybe I'll have a go at some harvest jugs today or tomorrow as you suggested.
Ha ha the Geordie lads, bless them, I spoke to them today actually. Hope they behaved themselves. Glad you did ok there, looks like you had good weather and your stand looks great.
PS I've been trying to get a hold of the top half of a dresser for ages (would love a full ne but it won't fit in the car!) Where on earth did you get that from? And is it secured to the table?
